Oz Noy, Don Guinta, Jeff Ganz Trio
Style: Jazz, Various Styles
*Oz Noy is a guitar player from Israel, who started his professional career at the age of 13 playing jazz, blues, pop and rock music. At age 16 he was already playing with leading Israeli musicians and performers, and at age 24 he was one of the most established studio guitar players in the country. His virtuoso chops, amazing technique, and his unique original compositions has led him to record and tour with the best musicians in the business including: Will Lee, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Keith Carlock, James Genus, and Tal Wilkenfeld.
*Don Guinta, a left-handed drummer from New Jersey, has studied with Joe Morello, Horacee Arnold, and Adam Nussbaum. A student of both the Manhattan School of Music & William Paterson University, Don has played with many of the jazz greats from in and around New York City including: Vic Juris, Ralph Bowen, Paul Bollenback, Bob Mintzer, Oz Noy, Donny McCaslin, Walt Weiskopf, Steve LaSpina, Harvie S, and many others.
*Born in Washington, D.C., Jeff became a New Yorker at age 13. He began as many did with piano and clarinet lessons, later becoming self-taught on drums and guitar. Jeff's devotion and talent began to be rewarded at age 14, when he began performing professionally as a guitarist/vocalist in the Hendrix/Clapton tradition.
Jeff's goal was simple: he wanted to be the first-call guy in every possible musical genre. He didn't stop with the traditional upright bass; he also mastered the fretted and fretless 4, 5, 8, and 12-string electric bass, as well as the piccolo and baritone bass guitar.
He names bassists Mel Schacher. Lee Dorman and George Mraz, vocalists Jack Bruce and Bobby "Blue" Bland and drum icons Jo Jones and John Bonham as illustrations of his eclectic influences.
In addition to many years of bass utility work in the New York area, Jeff has toured and recorded with such legends as Johnny Winter, Roy Buchanan, John Lee Hooker, Gerry Mulligan, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Tito Puente, Melanie, Chuck Berry, Joe Morello, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Dr. John and Larry Coryell.
Because his ability to provide the perfect accompaniment in any situation, his resume reads like a who's who of popular American music in the 20th century. Jeff has occupied the bass chair on television, in concert and on CD for such artists as Rita Moreno, Howard Levy, Melanie, Al Cohn, Johnnie Johnson, The Village People, Billie Joe Royal, Marvin Hamlisch, Liza Minnelli, Kenwood Dennard, and Ben Vereen, amongst many others.
While building a thirty-plus year reputation as a first-call bassist, Jeff's freelance credits include movie soundtracks, Broadway musicals and national television commercials. He appeared on Grammy-nominated recordings with Johnny Winter and John Lee Hooker, as well as the Tony Award-winning original cast album of Roger Miller's "Big River".
Jeff also composes music for television and other various media. He recently wrote and produced the theme and additional music for the critically acclaimed documentary "Disaster In The Gulf - A Race Against Time" for the Discovery Channel. His music is heard weekly in the hit TV show "On The Case With Paula Zahn" on the ID Channel.

Rastus Kain Band
Style: Blues-Rock, Louisiana, Memphis Blues, Texas
Rastus Kain may be the finest electric slide guitarist in the state of Florida, if not the whole South, and he is also a gifted songwriter. Kain shines with his 66 Firebird slide work and weathered vocals. His rhythm section provides a solid base for his amazing guitar leads and slide guitar style. Together, they make a unique electric blues power trio that makes every groove their own and will rock your socks off!!!
- SchoonerWharf.com
Rastus Kain and the Blame, in from Florida, spit out some gator-stomping swamp rock. Rastus himself, swamp hat pulled low, proved to be quite capable of ripping out the riffs on such covers as Sonny Boy Williamson’s “One Way Out” along with self-penned tunes such as “Son of the Blues”, “Ole Milwaukee Blues”, and “Pee Wee Shuffle”. Rastus and the boys put on the show as if they were playing to a packed Orange Bowl. We purchased one of his CDs and found it fun and bluesy; just like his stage act.

The Chuck Lambert Band
Style: Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, Memphis Blues, Texas
Robin's Nest is proud to present--The Chuck Lambert Band , a powerhouse blues band. While drawing upon the influences of many Blues genres, such as Chicago and Texas-style blues and Kansas City jump, they also inject an original perspective into their performances.
Playing the blues for over 40 years, Chuck Lambert complements his fiery guitar playing with compelling vocals. Chuck delivers string after string of blues "bullets," but he can also sound as soft as an acoustic 12-string guitar.
"It's a show you're gonna want to see. They take almost every major form of music and incorporate it into some good down-and-dirty blues."
Aisha Irvis, triCity News
Chuck has led the band as they opened for popular artists, (such as Little Feat and Kenny Wayne Shepard), performed in popular places (such as NJPAC and The Count Basie Theatre) and performed at many, many festivals over the years. More than 10 years of festivals include Festiblues International de Montreal; Riverhead Blues Festival; Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival at Six Flags Great Adventure, Freehold, and Toms River, New Jersey; Westfield Jazz & Blues Festival; Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival; Clearwater Festival at Sandy Hook; the Jazz in the Park Series in Red Bank; just to name a few.

The Last Eddie Review
Style: Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, Memphis Blues
Here's the deal, brothers and sisters: I am Last Eddie and I write, sing, arrange, and play good music with really good musicians and singers in the New Jersey/New York area. We currently jam and work out our arrangements at a few choice venues, such as "THE LAKESIDE INN, in Wayne, NJ, "THE MEXICALI BLUES CAFE," in Teaneck, NJ,THE FRANKLIN TAVERN, in West Orange, NJ, as well as other places in the general area. My music is grounded in the original rock-and-roll, blues, and soul of the fifties and sixties. I try to extend the traditions of the great music writers and performers of those times, keeping in mind that THEY grew up listening to the swing and dance bands of the thirties and forties. I started singing on street corners and in school bathrooms from the time I was nine. My older sisters taught me how to dance, using a towel wrapped around the refrigerator handle as a partner. I can Lindy, slop, bop, Bristol-stomp, shimmy, twist(Checker, and Peppermint), jerk, monkey(regular and Boston), pony, bu-ga-loo, skate, shing-a-ling, and any old thing-- not to leave out cha-cha, mambo, merengue (we were very big on Tito Puente in my mamma's home). So right now I am at work recording and producing my first two CD offerings, consisting of my original songs, mixed with tunes from the past that you may recognize-- recast, reborn, and ready to rock your world again. You will be hearing selections of them on my page, as well. Who will I be playing and singing with? This is the best part! In the last few years I've met and played with so many uniquely talented people that I've decided to keep things open-ended. I'm gonna let the music decide, inviting the players who seem most connected to the music selected for a particular gig. Plugged, unplugged, solo, duo, trio, four, five. . .hell, ten piece if the opportunity arises!! The vocal presentations will also be diverse: lead, harmony, male, female. . .anything for a good time!! And we're gonna be looking for venues with dance floors where partners can show their stuff, or move together when that slow-dance tune comes up (I'm just trying to help out, brothers and sisters). The first four songs on my page, which I am calling my "Sampler," are all originals. As you can see, they go in different directions. Featured on "My Way Or The Highway," sharing the vocals with me, is my favorite, dangerous red-headed woman-- the beautiful and talented Nikki Armstrong.

What I can tell you is that a Cable Access Show on Time Warner NY, will be shooting for a 2 hour Special Feature about, Robin's Nest Rhythm and Blues...
New York City genre-busting blues guitarist Dave Fields can rightfully boast that he experienced the hip modern version of the blues education. He was born to Sammy “Forever” Fields, the lauded virtuoso pianist, composer, arranger and producer with remarkably eclectic tastes from classic American standards and jazz to rock ‘n’ roll such as the Royal Teens “Short Shorts” and the Capris’ “There’s A Moon Out Tonight.” He was thrilled when his son expressed a desire to go pro and would later show his vast knowledge and awareness of contemporary rock by always replying that the “best” guitarists in the world were Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

“ New York Blues Queen” ROXY PERRY
Style: Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, Harmonica, Memphis Blues, Various Styles
A child prodigy, Roxy started out fronting swing bands at the famous Glen Island Casino in New Rochelle, New York and performed her first major concert at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California at age 9. In her early teens, she began fronting her own bands. By her late teens, she was working six nights a week with her 10-piece soul band at the Peppermint Lounge on 45th Street and Times Square in New York City. It was there that she was discovered and did her first studio recording as a back-up vocalist. This led to her going on tour for four years with the pop-rock band, Dawn, representing their hits of the time. The band headlined concert tours with Kenny Rogers, The Carpenters, Rare Earth, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Iron Butterfly, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Mike Nesmith, Mark Lindsay and many others. In the ‘80’s an EP was released on Personal Records, produced by Richie Cordell, which was high on the Billboard charts for two months.
Roxy launched her blues career in the late ‘80’s, when she quickly became known for her exciting live performances at clubs, concert halls and festivals throughout the U.S. and abroad and won her reputation as “the real deal” through her riveting live performances and highly acclaimed CDs in blues and jazz circles worldwide.
In recent years Roxy has appeared on the concert bill with Rod Piazza, Shamekia Copeland, Leon Russell, Marcia Ball, John Mayall, Saphire, Hubert Sumlin, Gatemouth Brown, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal, the Neville Brothers, Popa Chubby, Derek Trucks, The Black Crowes, Susan Tedeschi, Duke Robillard and a host of others. In 2007, Roxy and her band performed at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival, where they headlined two stages, including the Lake Geneva Blues Cruise.
In 2009, Roxy Perry was officially recognized and inducted as a GREAT BLUES MUSICIAN from Westchester, New York and an AMBASSADOR TO NEW YORK in the BLUES HALL OF FAME®.

From the chair, as his chest swayed and his knees jumped to the beat, his guitar painted countless moods and his voice filled our souls to the very brim. His repertoire meandered through moody urban blues, soul, down home and upbeat delta styles. He could have comfortably moved into funk or jazz; but in every case, through altered rhythms and lyrics or simply his pure personality, SaRon injected a unique twist, taking full ownership of each song. VD King & Better Off Dead
Style: Chicago Blues, Covers, Delta Blues, Jump, Rockabilly
Better Off Dead- Girl With A Job
A good sense of humor is an essential element for a blues songwriter (no one was more subtly funny than Willie Dixon), so any band with V.D. King tunes is already a step ahead of the competition. Girl With a Job (GarageLand 0722) from New Jersey's Better Off Dead doesn't look or sound like the budget production it is (the liner notes say it was "recorded in a bedroom in Jersey City"). It's got thick, meaty production, a batch of great songs, and fiery playing from guitarists King and Don Kenny and harpist Tim Cassidy, backed by a tough rhythm section. This disc is a blues party all by itself. Best cuts: the title tune ("I'm looking for a girl/I'm looking for a job/I'm looking for a girl, a girl with a job"), the loser's lament "Sleepin' On the Sofa," and the groovy "Sock It to 'em JB" (that's Bond ... James Bond). Highly recommended. - Blues Revue Magazine

In today's music scene there are hundreds of talented guitarists vying for the brass ring, and there are many, many great players out there. The SaRon Crenshaw Band
Style: Chicago Blues, Delta Blues, Memphis Blues
Gig Review on harpsurgery.com
...SaRon Crenshaw is incredible. He has presence and rapport to match the likes of Luther Allison and Eric Bibb. His voice is the equal of any Atlantic soul singer – its richness, depth and expression is astonishing. His guitar work is comprehensively top drawer.
...I couldn’t name all the songs SaRon performed – many were his own – but his covers included Mojo, Cold Shot, at least two Robert Cray tunes and Rainy Night In Georgia/New York.
From the chair, as his chest swayed and his knees jumped to the beat, his guitar painted countless moods and his voice filled our souls to the very brim. His repertoire meandered through moody urban blues, soul, down home and upbeat delta styles. Style: Chicago Blues, Country, Harmonica, Rockabilly
With any luck, we'll be grillin' and chillin' w/ BBQ Bob all day!!

Bob stocked the jukebox with his favorites and began booking acts as diverse as The Holmes Brothers, The Raunch Hands, Bobby Radcliff, and The Dogmatics (from Boston). During this period, the band released two 45’s on their own label, Rib records, (“Linda Lu” b/w “Shake Your Money Maker” and “My Barbecue Baby” b/w “Oedipus Rex”), acquired drummer/pianist Howie Wyeth, and began a series of shows opening for national acts at the original Lone Star Café (13th & 5th Ave. NYC).

The Chuck Lambert Band
Style: Various Styles

Ramblin Dawgs Celebrate Robin's Nest 2 Year Anniversary!!
Style: Blues-Rock
Come rock the blues and help celebrate 2 amazing years of Robins Nest Rhythm and Blues Club. The Dawgs take the stage at 9pm sharp, so get there early and grab a table. Hope to see you there.
The Ramblin Dawgs formed in late 2007, making waves with their energetic rock driven modern blues performances. Currently Driven by Carlos “C-Dawg” DC’s soulful vocals and tasteful guitar playing, Raul DC’s thunderous drumming, Charlie's screaming Hammond organ, and Anthony D's rock solid grooves on bass, the buzz continues as the band performs relentlessly throughout and around the north east area. A broad demographic of music lovers can be counted as part of the band’s fan club, known as the “Dawg Pound.” Thirst for new yet familiar music is quenched by the band's originality and passion when performing covers as well as self penned songs to packed venues.

PJ Cotroneo Band
Style: Chicago Blues, Jazz, Memphis Blues
The PJ Cotroneo Band’s sound is a musical amalgam of gritty blues augmented by the improvisational aspect of jazz. Initially a blues guitarist, PJ moved to Antigua, West Indies where he met and subsequently began playing and studying with master jazz guitarist Roland Prince. Roland's influence greatly inspired PJ, and having fallen under the spell of jazz, he immersed him self in that music. He attended The New School’s Jazz/Contemporary Music program and went on for a Master’s degree in Jazz History at Rutgers-Newark. He studied with jazz guitar maestro Vic Juris as well as playing various gigs around the New York/New Jersey area. In 2003, PJ and a friend from his New School days organized a band and recorded. Though gigging around in support of the CD, PJ suddenly began to feel within him a reawakening of the blues influence he had pushed aside upon becoming seriously interested in jazz. He recognized that his path forward must accommodate both of the musical styles that define who he is as a musician, and slowly but surely the line-up of the PJ Cotroneo Band began to take shape. The rhythm section is made up of bassist Antar Goodwin who is a dear friend of PJ’s for many years. His lyricism, experience and ability to play different musical styles contribute greatly to the sound of the band. Drummer Corey Rawls is one of the most versatile and masterful drummers playing today. His ferocious technique and musical vocabulary are unequaled. Sharing the front line with PJ is tenor saxophonist Scott Michael, who brings to the band a contemporary and soulful sound that perfectly complements PJ’s guitar style. The confluence of these backgrounds and experiences comprises the band's spirit, emotional depth and identity. Being jazz musicians at heart, the group’s four members are far-reaching in their individual and collective musical scope. Covering varied musical ground in performance, they envelop their music in the fresh, bold and unique style that defines The PJ Cotroneo Band.

Matt Hill & The Deep Fryed Two
Style: Memphis Blues
2011 Blues Music Awards Winner for Best New Artist and one of the most talked about and electric performers on the circuit today. Onstage he is uninhibited driving audiences wild with his “whatever it takes” boundless stage antics. His voice, guitar playing, and his magnetic energy surely will take him straight to the top.
North Carolina native Hill started playing guitar when he was 12, and than...ks to his Uncle Pat started digging deep into American Roots Music. While in high school Matt started going to blues jams, where he met drummer Chuck Cotton. Chuck had played with Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters Band alumnus.) In 2004 Matt started a band with Chuck, and they won the local competition that would send them to the 2005 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
Back in Greensboro, Matt started playing with a couple different bands, playing with local blues icon Max Drake and the Buzzkillz, and sitting in with Bob Margolin. Soon Matt was joining Bob Margolin on tour, playing with the likes of Blues heroes like Carey Bell, Hubert Sumlin, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Calvin "Fuzz" Jones, Pinetop Perkins, and Nappy Brown. Somewhere along the line, Matt developed a totally uninhibited, ferociously raving stage presence that harkens back to the heydays of Howlin' Wolf, Jerry Lee Lewis and Nappy Brown.
In September 2010 the Vizztone Label Group released Matt's debut album ON THE FLOOR which received great reviews and in May 2011 won the award for Best New Artist Debut at the Blues Music Awards (formally the W.C. Handy Awards) in Memphis TN. A couple months later Matt was also nominated for two awards at the Blues Blast Awards in Chicago IL. One for "Best New Artist Debut" and the other for the "Sean Costello Rising Star Award."
Since moving to St. Louis, MO in March of 2011 Hill connected with two killer musicians that are now taking the plunge to work with his crazy ass! Joe Meyer and Paul Niehaus IV have have joined Hill as The Deep Fryed Two. Together they deliver quality, original roots music, and put on a whatever-it-takes, high energy show for the people.
Matt, Joe and Paul just cut the follow up to Matt's award winning solo debut ON THE FLOOR and are ready to take the world by storm with the sounds from this great record. There's a little bit of everything on this album from gut-bucket blues to rock and roll, soul, and even gospel and country influences. And with the help of Felix Reyes (amazing producer, musician, and writer of Grammy award winning songs) at his House of Tone studio, they were able to capture it all!!!

The Eryn Shewell Band - Cinco De Mayo Celebration!
Style: Acoustic, Blues-Rock, Canjun, Country, Covers, Electric, Jazz, Jump, Louisiana, Memphis Blues, Modern, R&B, Rockabilly, Various Styles
Come celebrate Cinco De Mayo with the beautiful and wonderfully talented ERYN SHEWELL and her band!!!
In venues such as the legendary Stone Pony, The Saint, The Cutting Room, Bluebird Café, Café Coco, Six Flags theme parks, as well as popular clubs throughout New Jersey, New York City, New Orleans and Nashville, many crowds and hearts have been won over by the power and sweet sound of the young talented singer and songsmith, Eryn Shewell.
A recent press article described Eryn as having "the power to woo audiences into an amused silence", with a "seductive range changing voice,,," "...bending and moving to the music, especially in tunes where her voice trails off in jam band moments of pleasant belting-meets-screaming... when songs later her voice is soft as butter and seems to roll off and melt into the air around you."
Born in Washington, DC, Eryn moved to New Jersey at an early age. She found inspiration in her musical family (her parents and aunts all sing; her grandfather is a bluegrass musician), and chose music as her career at an early age. She has always known she would work in the music industry. She has been singing publically since she was ten, wrote her first song at fourteen and hasn't stopped writing since. She taught herself guitar to help facilitate her songwriting and performing and even trained as a sound engineer so she could better understand some of the science behind the perfect sound.
"Music has always been my passion, my therapeutic outlet. I’m not just chasing fame; this is my career. I will always work in the music industry in some capacity," she says in her soft speaking voice that belies the powerful tonality that is her trademark.
